Past Field Trips have included:
-
Oil Refinery
-
Drilling Rig & Frac Operations
-
BP Center for Visualization on the CU Boulder campus
-
Various trips to working drilling rigs, including Caza in the DJ Basin
-

Our Next Field Trip Is:

Dinosaurs, Raindrops, and Moon Rocks
Explore the wonders of Dinosaur Ridge, Fossil Trace, and the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) Geology Museum in Golden on a day of discovery with trip leader and geologist, Pete Varney. This fall tour will show participants the tracks and impressions of both flora and fauna from Jurassic and Cretaceous times. We will have lunch in Golden followed by a trip to the fabulous mineral museum at the Colorado School of Mines where the newly recovered moon rocks are on exhibit.
