The Desk and Derrick Club of Denver was organized in 1951 through the undaunted efforts of a group of determined women led by Minetta Miller.  It was their goal to form an organization to better educate individuals in the petroleum and allied industries.  Their motto being- An employee with a greater knowledge of the industry is a greater asset to the employer.  This goal is further achieved today by attendance at field trips, seminars, and special classes.
